The hotest piece of technology I’ve ever seen

Chris, aka , just sent me a link to this flash video of the hottest piece of technology I’ve ever seen.

It’s a demo video of this touch screen interface. The video starts out with the guy manipulating colored lights and shapes, obviously in order to demo what this thing is capable of as far as graphics, response-time, and manipulatability (is that a word?). It goes on to show possible other uses for it, like for manipulating images, navigating 2d and 3d maps, manipulating 3d-rendered objects, and GAMES!!

Anyway, go look. It’s pure sex on an LCD screen (or whatever this thing is made of).

Anyway, here’s a link to more technical info about it.

HyperCard ナツカシイness.

Morning world.

Got up early, finished some homework and cleaned some more of the apartment. (I think I also had food poisoning for like, 30 minutes if that’s possible. that was some odd odd tummy activity there…) Now it’s only 9am and like, I’m wandering around the internet before I start working on another assignment.

So, remember HyperCard? check these out! “What Could have been” and “HyperCard Forgotten but Not Gone” (Shut up, yeah I know they’re both really old articles. I stumbled on them by accident.)

I was such a hypercard nerd in elementary school. My teachers had to start adding the sentence “Yes, you can do this book-report/research-project/presentation-assignment on the computer” to all the assignments because I kept asking over and over again. wah. ナツカシイ!

Part of me feels like I’ve come full circle in a way [cue for nostalgic piano music]… a mac being the first computer I ever owned, and now I’m back in love with one (*hugs ibook*).

I think it must be a pretty bad sign if I really regret not having a picture of me with my first computer… Ha ha.
