Firefox view-source, fun with special characters!

Burning Question of the Day: Why does Firefox convert the unicode, ascii, hex codes for special characters to human-readable text when you view source? What if I want to know which one the site is using?

This is just one of those burning questions and not something I’m having problems with. I currently use the web-developer tools to look at code from other people’s websites… so, no this Firefox “feature” does not hinder my work. :)

This is just one of those things that will make me tickle inside for a while. Like, whose call was it to make Firefox’s “view source” function auto-render the special characters and leave out the cute little codes? Did people complain?

To me, anyone who’s interested in the source of a page is going to be interested in all of the code… not just the html.

Heh.

and the award goes to….

*cringe*

but because the field is in its infancy it is not yet clear what kind of stem cells will provide the results

For an article in favor of stem cell research and critical of Bush’s veto, that was a REALLY bad pun.

Movie Joy.

I think that this is the first time I’ve ever really anticipated something, really wanted to see it… couldn’t WAIT in that way that little kids couldn’t wait…

I watched all the trailers, over and over again. I felt tingly all over every time I’d see a poster or anything.

This is the first time I’ve wanted something so bad, and then actually WASN’T DISAPPOINTED after it was over.

Lady in the Water rules. Hard core.

And nothing you can say will change my mind, because I know there are a ton of people who think M. Night is a hack job or a freak or whatever. Fuck you. He’s awesome.

Goodnight. :)

News, Blogging, Lebanon.

(This post and comments originally posted in livejournal)

In case google news hasn’t already drawn your attention to this article, I will. This is probably the most humanly insightful story about the war in Lebanon that I’ve seen because it’s told through the impact of actual real human beings in Lebanon and Israel.

Blogging lets them get around laws forbidding their contact with each other, and gives the rest of the world some insight into what’s going on for them personally… not to mention, reminds stupid Americans that the “impact at home” is and should be much more than a rise in gas prices.

Jon Stewart would be proud of Wired News.

KHII joy

Nothing restores a slightly emotionally confused brain heart (tee hee) than Kingdom Hearts II… on a projector.

Or maybe it’s a form of escapism. I don’t know. It just feels too good to be bad for me. :)

Tikibar TV!!!

TikiBarTv is awesome.

Someone tell me who they really are? I’m 99% sure they’re from Vancouver BC… seeing as how they once had cast from BATTLESTAR GALACTICA on the set and their webdesigners are from Vancouver. But weren’t they in something else? Lala is wayyy too hot to not be a model or an actor or something else that would allow her to make a living off of her… um… “charisma.”

They’re just way cool and they need to make more shows. So addicted. They also need to get Sixth on the show. haha.

So yeah. I’m 23 years old and just now made my first cat 5 cable. yeah, shutup. It’s not my fault I never made it before. It’s not hard, kinda fun. Don’t know what all you whiny bitches are bitching about when you say it’s a chore.

I’m talking to you on cable that I made.

(Brought to you by the Fuck Yeah Bitches department.)
